From The Station In The East... |
| Hello, Ohio DeMolay!!!
by Eric Small, SMC |
Hello Ohio DeMolay and welcome to April. It's starting to get warm again, and that's what reminds me that ODLE is on its way. Ohio DeMolay Leaders of Excellence is Ohio DeMolay's premier leadership camp. Taking place Memorial Day weekend, it will give you all the tools you need to make your Chapter, District and Ohio DeMolay succeed.
Membership programs, fundraisers, event planning; these are just a few of the lessons you'll take back from ODLE. Most importantly the brothers you meet at ODLE will build lasting friendships that extend through your years in DeMolay and beyond. I know this will be my 4th year as a camper at ODLE and the lessons I learn will extend well beyond Conclave of this year and into the years of manhood. I'm looking forward to seeing you all at ODLE this year.

Ohio Freemasonry's Bicentennial |
|
Join us as we support our Advisors |
|
When: Saturday, June 21st, 2008
Where: Columbus
What: DeMolay will be marching in Ohio Freemasonry's Bicentennial parade
We will be gathering on Saturday morning and marching down High Street from the Arena to the Statehouse as part of the 200th Anniversary Parade. There'll be a rededication of the Statehouse cornerstone. Afterwards, we'll head to the Ohio Historical Society's Ohio Village for lunch. They're also planning an 1860's-style baseball game.
It's estimated that 20,000 Masons will be participating, and the Grand Master, who is a Senior DeMolay, has asked the entire Masonic family to participate.
We want every Chapter to be represented.
We want to show our Masonic friends that DeMolay is alive and well, and we need you to help.
You'll be marching alongside your Chapter members and advisors. Bring your Chapter Banner, and designate one of the members to carry it. Please send Dad Lowe an email and let him know how many from your Chapter will be participating. The Grand Lodge needs the registration so that we have enough transportation to get us where we need to be.
If demand exists, we'll make arrangements for overnight accommodations on Friday night. Please let us know with your registration, and we'll get back to you as soon as we know.
Registrations are due May 1, 2008
