| Ohio DeMolay has introduced a new membership plan for the 2008-2009 term.
For every new Brother you bring in, you will earn 30 "DeMolay Dollars", which you can redeem to help in the cost of Conclave!!
If you sign four petitions by June 15, you'll have 120 DeMolay Dollars. Dad Shaw will kick in the extra money, you'll have new Brothers in your chapter, and you can go to Conclave for FREE
When dealing with membership, you need to communicate with your members as well as future DeMolays in your Chapter. People tend to use email, which is good, but the bad thing about this is you dont know when the person will reply back. Some people may not have a computer, or easy access to one during the summer. Another way people communicate is by texting, but the bad thing about this is that the majority of people don't do it. The best communication is by making calling them personally. This way, if for some reason they can't answer, you just leave a message and they should return the phone call. The Ohio DeMolay Olympics
June 26-27, 2009
Who? Any DeMolay, initiation candidate, or advisor who wants to come enjoy a great action-packed weekend. What? Friday night, both degrees of the initiation will be put on for candidates from all over Ohio.
Saturday, numerous Olympic events will be held to see who is Ohio's greatest "Olympian".
Where? Craftsman Park, 4450 Rex Lake Rd, Akron.
When? Registration 7-9 pm Friday.
How Much? Just $15. This fee will include lodging and pizza Friday night, plus games, breakfast and lunch on Saturday. DeMolays bringing candidates will also receive a five-dollar Best Buy gift card per candidate that they bring.
How do I sign up? Registration is REQUIRED, but all you have to do is send an email to DeMolayOlympics@AOL.com
RSVP's are due by June 24th!
Schedule:
Friday, June 26th
7-9pm - Registration and cabin move-in
10:00 - Degrees begin, followed by pizza
1:00am - lights out
Saturday, June 27th
8:30am - Breakfast
9:00am - Cabin Clean-up
9:30am - Olympics start
Noonish - lunch
Depending on weather and the number of Olympians, the end time may vary, but we should be finished by 2:30.
For Friday: Degree team - shirt and tie.
For all others, business casual (polo shirt and dress pants).
Packing list
Dress clothes for Degrees, casual clothes for playing, sleeping bag or sheets and blanket, pillow, towel, toiletries, fan, alarm clock, a good attitude, and candidates!! |

Package A: $185, includes housing for two nights (2 per room), plus Friday lunch and dinner, three meals on Saturday, breakfast Sunday, plus admission to all Conclave events.
Pacakge B (open to DeMolays and Advisors only): $125, includes Saturday night housing (2 per room), plus lunch and dinner on Saturday, breakfast Sunday, plus admission to all Saturday and Sunday Conclave events.
Package C: $45, includes no housing, lunch and dinner on Saturday only, plus admission to all Saturday Conclave events.
