Chapter of the Year Requirements

OHIO DEMOLAY CHAPTER OF THE YEAR 2007-2008

(All activities completed from August 1, 2007 - July 1, 2007)

POINTS SYSTEM

ONE TIME POINTS FOR ACTIVITIES THROUGH THE YEAR

• 5 points - A publication, whether it is a newsletter/website/ postcard mailings/etc. The publication must be updated periodically and when it is updated it is sent to the State Scribe and Executive Officer.
• 3 points - The Certificate of Election must be turned into the Executive Officer and the State Scribe within 15 days of the election.

MEMBERSHIP (Must be reported to DI & Adult State Membership Chairman)

• 1 point for every candidate initiated from 1 to 8
• 3 points for every candidate initiated over 8
• 5 points for every candidate initiated over 12
• 7 points for every candidate initiated over 20
• 2 points for each new CERTIFIED ADVISOR added to their Chapter rolls

CANDIDATES FOR STATE INITIATONS

• 2 ADDITIONAL Points for each candidate initiated at a State sponsored initiation (The one State Initiation being held this year in each district will qualify as well. Check with the SMC for this date.)

ATTENDANCE

• 3 points for every member OR Advisor attending ODLE as a Veteran
• 5 points for every member OR Advisor attending ODLE for the first time
• 2 points for each member or Advisor attending Winterfest or Conclave
• 1 point for every member or advisor attending an Official State event other than Winterfest or Conclave

STATE RITUAL COMPETITION (a Minimum score must be achieved to receive points)

• 15 bonus points for each Chapter entering a team in the team competition (Initiatory Degree/DeMolay Degree/Installing Team/ or Preceptor Core) (If a Chapter enters multiple team competitions, they will not receive additional points for multiple teams)
• 2 points of each member competing (If a member competes in multiple categories, they will get 2 points for each competition entered)

AWARDS

• 8 Points for each term completed and receiving the PMC-MSA
• 5 Points for each member receiving his B.H.K.
• 3 Points for each member receiving his F.M.A.
• 3 Point for each member receiving his #1 Pin.

KACH ESSAY

• 1 point for each member participating in DeMolay International's Kach Essay Program.
