Ohio DeMolay Visits Kentucky DeMolay
On February 28, 2010, a number of members and advisors from Ohio DeMolay journeyed to Northern Kentucky Chapter in Covington, Kentucky, for an initiation of new members into the order. Kentucky DeMolay State Master Councilor Cody James Stevens presided, aided by members from Cherokee Chapter in Louisville, Bluegrass Chapter in Lexington, River Cities Chapter in Ashland, and Northern Kentucky Chapter. Also present were Dad Danny Coffey, Executive Officer of Kentucky, Dad Greg Coffey, Assistant EO of Kentucky, Dad Robert Tutt, Executive Officer Emeritus of Kentucky, and Dad Patton Hart, Past Grand Master of DeMolay International and Past Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Kentucky. Ohio was represented by Sean Carr, SMC, David Lawson, MC of Hamilton Chapter, and Tim Humphrey of Hamilton Chapter. Also present were Dad Michael Himes, Governor of the 7th District, Dad Rick Shields, Dad Harry Klein, Dad Jim Blevins, Dad David Carr, and Mom Deanna Carr. Two new Ohio DeMolays were initiated - Tyler Rogers of Hamilton Chapter, accompanied by his grandfather, Dave Buchheit, and Taylor Cooper of E.F. Stapf, accompanied by Pete and Marsha Cooper. The degree work was portrayed in an excellent manner, and it was followed by refreshments and a time to get further acquainted with our Brethren from Kentucky DeMolay.
